Your data stays yours

Effective date: July 10, 2026

The short version. POLARITY has no servers, no accounts, no analytics, no ads, no trackers, and no third-party SDKs. Everything you log stays on your device — and, unless you turn sync off, is also mirrored into your own private iCloud. We cannot see your data. Our App Store privacy label reads: “Data Not Collected.”

1. Who we are

POLARITY is made by REDFLVG, an independent developer. For anything in this policy — questions, requests, concerns — write to support@mypolarity.app.

2. What you log, and where it lives

POLARITY holds what you choose to write down: daily check-ins (mood, thoughts, energy, motivation, anxiety, irritability, sense of control), sleep, medications and adherence marks, daily habits, one-off substances and everyday influences (like nightmares, stress, or travel), short free-text notes, and a display nickname.

All of it is stored locally, in the app's private storage on your device. It is never transmitted to us — or to anyone else.

3. iCloud sync (on unless you turn it off)

Your data is also mirrored, encrypted, into your own private iCloud database, so it can follow you to your other devices and survive a lost phone. This starts out on; you can turn it off in Settings at any time. It travels directly between your device and Apple's iCloud — the developer has no access to it and cannot read it. Apple Health data is never included in this mirror.

Turning sync off (or using the in-app “Delete all data”) can also erase the iCloud copy.

4. Apple Health (HealthKit)

With your explicit permission, POLARITY reads sleep and steps from Apple Health, to display them alongside your check-ins and to compute summaries on your device. Access is read-only.

Our commitments with Health data: it is used solely for the app's features, on the device; it is never used for advertising or marketing; it is never sold; and it is never disclosed to third parties. The widget's cached copy is excluded from backups. You can revoke this permission anytime in iOS Settings → Health.

5. On-device AI

Reflections are generated with Apple Intelligence, entirely on your device. No entries, text, or health data are ever sent to any external AI service. Every reflection is labeled “Not medical advice”.

6. Reports

PDF reports are generated locally, on your device. They leave it only when you personally share them — and we never receive a copy.

7. Notifications

All reminders are local notifications, scheduled on your device. There are no push servers and no push tokens.

8. Subscriptions

POLARITY Premium is billed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. You can manage or cancel the subscription anytime in your App Store settings.

9. Diagnostics

The only diagnostics we may ever receive are Apple's standard, aggregated, opt-in crash reports. They never contain journal content.

10. Your controls

You can export everything from within the app, and you can erase everything with the in-app “Delete all data” — which clears local storage, the widget's cache, and the iCloud copy. Because we hold nothing, access, rectification and erasure all happen directly on your device, instantly. Deleting the app removes its local data.

11. Children

POLARITY is not directed at children under 13, and we knowingly collect nothing from anyone — children included.

12. Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the update will be posted on this page with a new effective date.

One more thing: this website is a static page with no analytics and no tracking cookies. If you pick a language, that choice is kept in a single small cookie — nothing else.
