Your data stays yours

1. Who we are

POLARITY is developed by REDFLVG, an independent developer. For questions about privacy and data, write to support@mypolarity.app.

2. What POLARITY stores

POLARITY stores only the data needed for the features you use: daily check-ins — mood, depressive thoughts, energy, anxiety, irritability, stress and other answers; along with sleep, food and water, medication and doses taken, substances, daily factors, notes and profile settings.

This data is stored locally in the app’s storage. It is not sent to the developer.

3. iCloud sync

If sync is on, POLARITY data is also kept in your own private iCloud database. That lets your history move between your devices and be restored after you change device.

The transfer happens between your device and Apple’s iCloud. The developer gets no access to the contents of that database.

Sync can be turned off in POLARITY’s settings. The built-in data deletion can remove both the local copy and POLARITY’s data in iCloud. Apple Health data is not included in POLARITY’s iCloud copy.

4. Apple Health (HealthKit)

Only with your permission does POLARITY read available Apple Health data: sleep, activity, and supported heart and respiratory measures, including heart rate, heart-rate variability (HRV), resting heart rate, blood oxygen (SpO₂) and respiratory rate. Exactly which of these applies depends on the data available on your device.

POLARITY’s access to Apple Health is read-only. The app does not write data back into Health. HealthKit data is used only inside POLARITY’s features, is not used for advertising or marketing, is not sold, and is not passed to third parties.

5. AI Reflections

AI Reflections are generated locally with Apple Intelligence on a compatible device. Your entries and your Apple Health data are not sent by POLARITY to external AI services.

Every AI Reflection carries a note that it is not a medical recommendation.

6. Reports

PDF reports are generated on your device. POLARITY does not receive a copy. A report leaves the device only when you decide to save it elsewhere or share it.

7. Notifications

POLARITY’s reminders are created as local notifications on the device. They need no separate POLARITY server holding your data.

8. Subscriptions

POLARITY Premium is purchased and paid for through the App Store. Payment details are handled by Apple. POLARITY does not receive your card number or other payment credentials. You can manage or cancel the subscription through the App Store.

9. Diagnostics

Apple may provide the developer with standard aggregated crash and diagnostic reports, depending on your device settings and your consent to share analytics with Apple. Such reports do not contain the contents of your POLARITY journal.

10. Export and deletion

Data can be exported from the app. The built-in deletion clears POLARITY data within the storage locations named in the app, including local data and the associated iCloud copy.

Because the developer keeps no separate server copy of your journal, there is no remote profile holding your entries that you would need to request from support.

Deleting the app removes its local data in line with iOS behaviour; data saved separately or synced through iCloud is governed by the relevant Apple and POLARITY features.

11. Children

POLARITY is not intended for children under 13. We deliberately do not build an account system or a server profile designed to collect a user’s journal.

12. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, a new version will be published on this page with an updated effective date.

The mypolarity.app website itself uses no advertising analytics and no tracking cookies. If the site remembers a language choice, that cookie is used only to remember the chosen language.
