Terms of Use
The terms, in plain language
Effective date: July 15, 2026
1. Who we are, and what you're agreeing to
POLARITY (the app and this website) is made by REDFLVG, an independent developer. By downloading or using POLARITY you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the app — though we'd be sorry to see you go. Questions are always welcome at support@mypolarity.app.
2. What POLARITY is — and isn't
POLARITY is a journal for mood, sleep and rhythm: a quiet place to notice your own patterns. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, recommendations, diagnoses, or treatment. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, prevent, or manage any medical or mental-health condition, and nothing it shows you — trends, summaries, the Stability meter, or AI Reflections — is medical advice or a clinical assessment of any kind.
POLARITY is never a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and never a replacement for your doctor. Always seek the advice of your physician or another qualified health provider with any questions about your health, and never disregard professional advice — or delay seeking it — because of something you saw in POLARITY. Decisions about your health, including any changes to medication or treatment, belong with you and the professionals who care for you. Read more on our Not a Doctor page.
If you are in crisis or think you may harm yourself, contact your local emergency services or a crisis line right away. POLARITY is not built for emergencies.
3. Your license
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use POLARITY on Apple devices that you own or control, as allowed by the App Store terms. The app, its design, and its content belong to the developer; the license lets you use them, not resell, copy, modify, or reverse-engineer them, except where the law explicitly permits it.
4. The beta
While POLARITY is distributed through TestFlight, you're using pre-release software. Betas can change, misbehave, or occasionally lose their footing — we work carefully, but we can't promise the beta is free of rough edges, and features may be added, changed, or removed before release. Apple's TestFlight terms also apply.
5. POLARITY Premium
Your first 14 days are free, counted from your first check-in. After that, AI Reflections, longer analysis windows, unlimited reports and the reflection archive are part of POLARITY Premium — an auto-renewing subscription, $8.99 a month or $69.99 a year, billed by Apple through your App Store account.
The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it anytime in your App Store settings; Apple handles all payments and refunds under its own terms. We never see your payment details.
Everything you log stays yours either way: your check-ins, your history, your dashboard and your data export remain free forever, subscription or not. If prices ever change, the change will apply only from your next renewal, with notice through the App Store.
6. Your content and your data
Everything you write in POLARITY belongs to you. It is stored on your device (and, unless you turn sync off, also in your own private iCloud) — we have no servers and no access to it. How your data is handled is described honestly and completely in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.
7. Fair use
Please use POLARITY as it's meant to be used: as a personal journal. Don't attempt to break, probe, or overload the app or this website, misrepresent your relationship with POLARITY, or use either in ways that break the law.
8. The App Store, and Apple's role
POLARITY is licensed to you under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement; these terms sit alongside it and add what is specific to POLARITY — the beta, Premium, your data, and the medical disclaimers. Apple is not a party to these terms, is not responsible for the app or its content, and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it — for help, write to support@mypolarity.app. You also agree to comply with Apple's applicable terms (the App Store and, during the beta, TestFlight) when using the app.
9. No warranties
POLARITY is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose. We genuinely care about the app's quality, but we can't promise it will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, the developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of POLARITY — and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
11. Ending things
You can stop using POLARITY anytime — deleting the app removes its local data, and the in-app “Delete all data” clears the iCloud copy too. We may end or suspend the license if these terms are materially breached. Sections that by their nature should survive (your content ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability) survive termination.
12. Changes to these terms
If these terms ever change, the update will be posted on this page with a new effective date. For meaningful changes we'll also note it in the app or its release notes. Continuing to use POLARITY after a change means you accept the updated terms.
13. Contact
Questions about these terms — or anything else — are always welcome at support@mypolarity.app.
