POLARITY Terms of Use

1. What POLARITY is for

POLARITY is a self-observation tool. The app helps you keep data, look at trends, and build AI Reflections or reports from your own history.

POLARITY is not a medical device and does not provide diagnoses, treatment or medical recommendations.

2. No medical relationship arises

Using POLARITY does not create a doctor–patient, therapist–client or any other professional medical relationship.

Information in the app, including AI Reflections, charts, trends and reports, does not replace a consultation with a qualified professional.

3. Emergencies

POLARITY is not an emergency or crisis service and does not monitor your state or your safety in real time.

If there is immediate danger, or you need urgent help, contact your local emergency or crisis service.

4. Using the app

How you use the information in POLARITY is your own decision. Do not use POLARITY as the sole basis for medical decisions, for changing treatment, or for turning down professional help.

5. Data accuracy

POLARITY works with the data available to it — above all your own entries and, where permission is given, supported Apple Health data.

Missing, inaccurate or incomplete data can affect trends, AI Reflections and reports. POLARITY does not guarantee the clinical accuracy or completeness of such results.

6. AI Reflections

An AI Reflection is a self-observation feature that, on compatible devices, uses Apple Intelligence. The generated text may be incomplete, inaccurate, or may misread the context.

An AI Reflection is not a diagnosis or a medical recommendation.

7. Apple Health

Apple Health integration is optional. For the supported categories POLARITY uses read access only. Permissions can be managed in iOS.

8. Premium

POLARITY may offer an auto-renewing Premium subscription through the App Store. The price, any free period, and the renewal and payment terms are shown in the app and/or the App Store before a purchase is made.

The subscription is managed by Apple. You can manage or cancel it through your Apple ID settings, in line with App Store rules.

9. Moondust

Moondust is POLARITY’s internal resource system. Moondust can be earned through certain actions in the app and spent on the features available to you.

Moondust is not money, holds no monetary value, cannot be withdrawn or exchanged for money, and is not used outside POLARITY.

The rules for earning it and the cost of features in Moondust may change as the product develops.

10. Availability

We try to keep POLARITY working, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of every feature, integration or service.

Some features depend on the device, the iOS version, Apple Intelligence, iCloud, Apple Health and other Apple services.

11. Export

You are responsible for the files you export or pass on from POLARITY. Once a report or other data has been handed to another person or a third-party service, its further use is outside POLARITY’s control.

12. Intellectual property

POLARITY, its design, software, brand and original materials are protected by applicable law. These terms transfer no ownership of POLARITY to you.

13. Prohibited use

POLARITY may not be used unlawfully, to circumvent security mechanisms, to interfere with the app’s operation, or to infringe the rights of the developer or of third parties.

14. Disclaimer of warranties

To the extent permitted by law, POLARITY is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant that the app will meet all of your requirements, run without errors, or interpret data correctly in every situation.

15. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from the use of POLARITY or the inability to use it.

Mandatory liability that cannot be excluded by law remains in place.

16. Changes

POLARITY and these terms may change as the product develops. Material changes may be announced in the app, on the website, or by updating this page.

17. Apple terms

If POLARITY was downloaded through the App Store, its use is also governed by Apple’s standard end user licence agreement and other applicable App Store terms.

18. Governing law

These terms are governed by applicable law, taking into account the mandatory consumer rights in your jurisdiction.
